in The Field

Chris Chaney is one of the first call session musician's in LA. Not only has he played on hundreds of albums but his live credits include years playing with Alanis Morrisette, Janes Addiction, and Taylor Hawkins & the Coattail Riders. He is currently on tour with the Michael Landau Group. Chris has been using the AGRO (Aguilar Rack Overdrive) in the studio for the last year and he recently gave us this update on what he's been doing with it:

"The Aguilar AGRO has been my new "Must Have" both in the studio and live. It has taken the place of some of my overdrive stomp boxes due to its versatility and great tone. I recently used it on a 3 day session for Tyler Bates for the movie he scored called "Doomsday". I never turned the AGRO off - depending on the cue I just adjusted the saturation and contour, but it was always on. When going thru a GS 112 it produced a huge bottom end and gave a warm fuzz that had no problem holding up on super low cues. In fact most of the cues were played using the B string. The amp tones I got mixed perfectly with my clean D.I. channel. What a grand slam piece of gear!! I don't leave home without my AGRO."
