Happy New Year! We would like to thank you for all of your support - 2008 was quite a year for Aguilar; we expanded our DB series cabinet line, introduced the DB 285 JC cabinet in conjunction with Jack Casady, launched the hugely anticipated Tone Hammer preamp/D.I. and also started our successful Artist Series Master Class clinics! We promise to make 2009 equally exciting!
We are very proud to announce the appointment of Dave Avenius to the position of CEO! As many of you know, Dave has a long history here at Aguilar, starting as West Coast Regional Sales Manager in 2000 before moving to Aguilar's New York City headquarters in 2002. Since then, Dave has managed artist relations and sales and marketing for the company, most recently serving as chief of operations. Owner and current CEO Dave Boonshoft will continue at Aguilar in the capacity of President and CFO.
Our DB series cabinets have been a sure-fire hit with bassists all over the world for their extended low-end, smooth treble and focused midrange that allows the bass to cut through any mix. While the cabinets are available in four standout colors such as Classic Black, Chocolate Thunder, Monster Green and Boss Tweed, we are happy to report that we at Aguilar HQ have been glowing “White Hot” lately with our new DB cabinet color! Available in January 2009, White Hot cabinets will be available in all cabinet configurations of the DB line.

We are very pleased to announce the first Artist Series Master Classes of 2009 on Saturday, January 10, with Jazz legend, John Patitucci!
The clinic is free to the public and will be held in Aguilar’s New York City showroom. Attendees will also get a tour of the Aguilar factory.
