Aguilar July 08' Newsletter

07.01.08

Welcome to the July 2008 edition of the Aguilar newsletter!

Plenty of happenings and goings on to report this month. The first being that we are currently in the middle of our first MySpace contest. Dubbed the Calling all Rigs contest, we are looking for photos of your Aguilar rigs - big, small, on stage or in the basement; send 'em in! If you feel like jumping in the picture, well, go ahead, it's your photo shoot!

We will select four winners who will be placed in the top friends section of our profile for one month (August '08). And because we are such swell guys, during that month, each of those four winners will also get one of their songs added to our music player for a week!

All you need to do is post your photo in the comments section of our website. The contest begins today, June 24th. Photos must be received by July 15. Winners will be selected and notified by July 31st and be posted on Aguilar's Official MySpace page on August 1st.

Remember, it's not the size of the rig but how you work the camera, so get creative and send those shots in to Aguilar's official MySpace page at: http://www.myspace.com/aguilaramp

We also have a fantastic new artist interview on our website with Anthony Wellington. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Anthony, he is a member of the Victor Wooten band. Yes, you read that right; he is Victor Wooten's bassist! And if Victor selects him. well, what else is there to say. Anthony is not only an incredible player but also a dedicated and passionate educator. Read his thoughts on learning this thing we call the bass and about his school, Bassology.

Another addition to our site is a new feature called "In The Field With." where we let one of our artists take over and write a piece about their favorite Aguilar gear. This month, Tully Kennedy from country rocker Jason Aldean's band weighs in on the DB 412 cabinets. Wait until you see the size of this stage set! It's not your Granddaddy's country music anymore! Check out the monstrous rig at: http://www.aguilaramp.com/db412_in_the_field_tully.htm

Until next time.
