AGUILAR AMPLIFICATION WELCOMES ANTHONY WELLINGTON TO ITS ARTIST ROSTER
"It's What My Bass Is Supposed To Sound Like!"

08.01.08

NEW YORK, NY — Aguilar Amplification, maker of high quality bass amplifiers, speaker cabinets and accessories for bassists is pleased to welcome Anthony Wellington to their family of artist endorsers. Wellington’s stature in the bass community has grown significantly over the last 8 years as a member of The Victor Wooten Band. Trail-blazing bassist Wooten chose his long-time friend to not only be his bass tech but also to be his second bassist. What started as two friends jamming on a few songs a night has now grown into an entire show featuring a two-bass ensemble capable of jaw-dropping technique and incredible musical sensitivity.

Aside from his outstanding playing credentials, Wellington is also a dedicated and passionate educator who recently opened his own Bass-centered school called Bassology. With the culmination of years spent teaching, Bassology is a chance for bassists off all playing levels to learn the bass from technical, musical and spiritual standpoints.

Anthony Wellington is currently using an Aguilar AG 500SC amplifier, a DB 410 and a DB 115 cabinet on the road with the Victor Wooten Band. “Since I started using Aguilar, we get so many compliments on my sound. It’s the first time that I’ve plugged my bass into a rig, set it flat and get the sound I was looking for without any effort. It’s what my bass is supposed to sound like!”

Wellington recently gave an in-depth interview to Aguilar discussing his musical background and his teaching methods at the Aguilar Amplification website.
